Talk to Your child
Talk to your child,
Open your heart to your child
The ambitions and the failures,
The successes and the lures
The path travelled so long,
Carrying them all along
As, your child is like a silkworm
Munching away the leaves from hearth so
warm
Building their cocoons around
Slipping away without a sound
Before you know they will be in
Will not be seen growing within
The cocoon won’t open, hard you try
Tear it in and you will only cry
The day it would open and out would fly
The caterpillar you knew is now a
butterfly
However you want however you try
The butterfly would fly up, up and high
Before it is too late be your child’s
mate
As time is flying and nothing will wait
So, talk to your child
Open your heart to your child.
